One Reason I Love Shostakovich - His Second Piano Trio

This performance is absolutely amazing. One of my all time favorite works.

Not that I don't like Shostakovich, but it seems like he doesn't have much of an imagination. The theme from this piece sounds very similar to one of his string quartets. And his cello concerto is also a tune from a string quartet. I just think that the timbre and the melodies of all of his music are so much alike that it can get a little mundane.

Wow! I need to study that guy's expressivity while playing his cello and incorporate that into my own. He's got some sweet moves. ;) Maybe I'd be cooler if I played like that.....or at least more fun to watch. That pizzacato was intense! Black silk shirts don't hurt either.....Overall, an intersting piece.

I am a pretty awesome speller. Please replace "intersting" with interesting. Forgive me, Sensei.
